Labor of Love
My husband and I are blessed to own an old farm house built in 1923 and 2 acres. The biggest advantage is the old fruit trees and the rich soil. Since we moved here, I have planted grape vines, blackberries, blueberries and muscadine. We also have southern vegetable and flower gardens.
Growing up with my parents and 11 brothers and sisters, it was most important to prepare for the winter by canning as much as possible. My favorite were jellies, perserves, jam and pickles. Thanks to my wonderful mother, I still love gardening and canning and would like to share with others.
